Chef Zhen Urban Canteen translates the everyday knowledge of Zhuhai's fishing villages into a contemporary dining space. Weaving provides a common thread: knotted rope, bamboo and oyster shells take part in spatial organisation rather than remaining a collection of local symbols.

A rope installation establishes the entrance, while bamboo canopies at varying heights and shapes create light-filtering shelters above the seating. Each area gains its own scale while staying visually connected to the others. Oyster-shell surfaces add a heavier texture alongside the warmth of timber and woven bamboo.

Circulation connects quick meals with slower gatherings. Flexible tables, booths and a curved bar accommodate different lengths and kinds of stay. Materials, light and the rhythm of dining form a shared narrative, bringing local culture into the everyday life of the city.
